CALL FOR PAPERS:

4th International Conference in Software Engineering for Defence Applications – SEDA 2015

Software Engineering aims at modeling, managing and implementing software development products and processes in a structured and supportable way, these aspects in the Defense compartment assume high level of importance/criticism, where are required high reliability/quality levels, not comparable with commercial standards.

The Logistic Department of Italian Army General Staff, has carried on a successful cooperation story in organizing a Conference series: “Software Engineering for Defence Applications – SEDA”. This year the conference will take place at the prestigious location of "Palazzo Salviati" in Rome on the 26th and 27th of May 2015. Among the interesting technical presentation there will be the operational demonstration of the LC2EVO, the Command & Controll software realized by the Logistic Department of the Italian Army in cooperation with Selex-ES and other relevant Defense contractor, universities and, for the dismounted soldier segment, with NCIA.

Call for Papers

The SEDA 2015 Program Committee will welcome original contributions on new Software Engineering models, approaches, methods, and tools and their evaluation as well as business and economic aspects of IT in the context of Defense and Security applications.

The Program Committee will attribute the SEDA 2015 "Most innovative Paper award" to the Author of the technical contribution showing the highest level of innovation in software or software engineering.

Topics

1 | Automation techniques on code production and model based development;

2 | Support tools with particular reference to AGILE methods;

3 | Mission critical SW characteristics, particular SW engineering uses. Testing. Practical cases;

4 | QS standard evolution in the AGILE methodology application;

5 | AGILE methods implementation, considerations and practical applications;

6 | SW metrics evolution, complexity and economical value measures;

7 | Human factor impact (skill, social, team) in new development environments;

8 | Cloud distributed SW factories & Open source development tools;

9 | Requirement analysis & user stories, engineer or linguistic problem?;

10 | SW failure, analysis, instruments, models;

11 | Moving to the cloud. Challenges and opportunities (cloud security, legal cloud, etc.);

4^ Conferenza Internazionale su "Software Engineering for Defence Applications" – SEDA 2015

Call for Papers

Topics

1 | Tecniche di automazione di produzione codice e sviluppo basato su modelli;

2 | Strumenti di supporto con particolare riferimento a metodi AGILE;

3 | Caratteristiche dei SW mission critical, particolari pratiche di SW Engineering. Testing. Casi pratici;

4 | Evoluzione degli standard QS alla luce dell’adozione dei metodi “Agile”;

5 |Implementazioni di Metodi “Agile” considerazioni e applicazioni pratiche;

6 | Evoluzione delle metriche SW, misure della complessità e del valore economico;

7 | Impatto del fattore Umano (skill, social, team) nell’ambito degli ambienti di sviluppo più recenti;

8 | Cloud distributed SW factories & Open source development tools;

9 | Requirement analysis & user stories problema di ingegneria o di linguistica?;

10 | Difettosità del SW, analisi, strumenti, modelli;

11 | Destinazione cloud. Sfide e opportunità (cloud security, legal cloud, etc.);
